Southampton University Boys Bob Shermadine and Martin Latham were incredibly lucky today as they were privileged to be the only members of the public allowed to try indoor windsurfing at the London International Boat Show.
The boys won their priceless opportunity by winning the amateur and student division of the Spotonwater.com Christchurch Unity Super-X Pro-am windsurfing race last July.
They sailed this morning with the world’s elite, and event organisers Dan Taylor and Sarah Gladstone were amazed at how well the boys coped in the challenging conditions.
Both lads were able to blast up and down the pool and didn’t look out of place.
