As of 1 April The Waterboard in Poole is receiving a new shop
manager – and one that already knows the industry fairly well!
Dom Yule from Surf Sales – the UK importers of DaKine and Slingshot – will
be moving down to Dorset permanently to help further the good work that
shop owners Jordan Lawrence and Vin Diesel (aka Pete Andrious ) have
started. The move will mean that Dom is nearer his beloved Kimmeridge
and should also mean that he gets some more time in on the water.
Dom says, “I’ll be really sorry to leave Surf Sales as I’ve been there for a
long, long time and have travelled the world with the guys there and
learnt so much. I’m still going to have contact with them though as I’m
going to continue running their marketing program – I guess I get the
best of both worlds! The new challenge that The Waterboard is offering
me has filled me with excitement. I’m confident that the knowledge and
experience I have with windsurfing, kiting, surfing, wakeboarding and
snowboarding will be a help to anyone who comes in and I’m truly
looking forward to seeing things from the other side of the fence and
meeting everyone face to face… Good times to come I’m sure. Please
