Naish Sails Support RYA Pilot Windsurfing Scheme
Naish Sails (UK) Ltd, give their support to the R.Y.A as they launch their new Windsurfing Pilot Scheme to reintroduce windsurfing back to London Docklands.
The pilot scheme will be based at Docklands Sailing & Watersports Centre and will run for six weeks from mid July until the end of August during the main school summer holidays. Sited close to the main Banking and finical district, the venue offers 25 acres of sheltered water and is the perfect location for people of all ages to experience and learn windsurfing in the heart of the city.
With the use of modern entry level boards and sails such as the Naish Kaulia and Scout SE rig. The RYA are using this pilot scheme to demonstrate to other inner city locations around the UK that windsurfing once again can be used as a positive and fun activity to attract young people, schools and adult groups to their centres.
2012 see’s London hosting the Olympic Games. Who know that games Windsurfing Gold Medalist might be about to take their first steps to becoming champion, right here in London.
