Oceansource El Tur is the new name for El Tur Windsurfing, an hour up the road from Sharm El Sheikh. It will open on February 1st fully stocked with brand new 2008 RRD boards and Ezzy/Tushingham sails, as well as offering a unique video-coaching package to get you windsurfing to your full potential. The centre is taking bookings right now and there is even a special 2 for 1 deal on all equipment hire in February.

El Tur is a small town an hour up the road from Sharm El Sheikh, enjoying a similar wind pattern to Dahab and most other Red Sea windsurfing resorts – yet it offers far more exciting conditions. The Oceansource El Tur centre looks out over a flat water bay perfect for learning as well as freeriding and freestyle. Inshore it’s mirror flat, with great bump and jump conditions further out. There’s a point break which kicks up an excellent jumping ramp and offers exhilarating swell riding, and just up the road is a proper, cross-onshore wavebeach. BOARDS magazine rates the range and quality of windsurfing at El Tur so highly they’ve run four test trips here (and are coming again this February).
