Neil Pryde Collection 2009

NeilPryde is proud to present the 2009 Windsurfing Collection including the long awaited official release of THE FLY.

Designed around the unique sailing style of Kauli Seadi. The Fly makes light work of those impossible aerial manoeuvres, and has the power to drive Kauli’s signature smooth, carving lines on the face of the wave. Kauli is often described as a ‘force of nature’ and if there’s anyone qualified to speed up the pace of evolution it’s him.

To celebrate the release of The Fly we are giving one away along with 20 action posters.  Visit to enter the draw.

Also new to the collection for 2009 is the FIREFLY, NeilPryde’s new freestyle/wave sail. Inspired by the unique sailing style of Ricardo Campello the Firefly takes the place of the Expression in the crossover category.

Ricardo asked us for a sail to perform freestyle tricks in anything from flat-water to wave conditions.  So the FireFly is light, well-balanced, and has enough power and acceleration to drive him into manoeuvres or to the face of a wave.  As the distinction between wave and freestyle sailing becomes blurred, Ricardo Campello is one person who clearly knows The Difference.

Ricardo was using the final prototypes of the FIREFLY in Gran Canaria last month when he won the super session by attempting the world’s first ever triple loop.

Earlier in the year the V8 HELIUM made its debut as a specialist light wind sail but if you want to go fast on flat water then make sure you get acquainted with the HELLCAT.

When it comes to flat-out performance, the 2009 HELLCAT is hard to beat. With blistering pace, a wide wind-range, and an easy-rig, no-cam set-up for smooth transitions through the turns, the HellCat combines raw, racing-sail power with the light, easy handling of a recreational sail. Try it once and you’ll find it’s an addictive combination.

In the MATRIX collection we are pleased to announce that NeilPryde will soon be offering more choice in Reduced Diameter Masts.  The popular X-Combat will be joined by X3 and X6 RDM masts later this year giving you more choice to get the most out of your wave and x-over sails.

We hope you enjoying our new sails as much as our team enjoyed developing them and invite you to find out more about the whole NeilPryde Windsurfing range at
