An Englishman in Jericoacoara

The windsurf season has started in the north of Brazil. The sleepy, fishing village of Jericoacoara, ( set within a National Park), has once again come alive as the rain goes to bed and the sun and wind comes out to play. By the time this gets to press, October, Jeri becomes the most consistent windspots in the world.

John Cox living in the world, famous, windsurfing village of Jericoacoara is developing his second residential scheme – “Serrote Breezes”.

His first project, Casa do John, was finished in 2007, all apartments were sold before completion. One of the lucky owners, Jem Hall, will be running his first clinic in Brazil this December – Jem is well known for his internationally renowned windsurfing courses. John remembers the nervous day when showing Jem his new apartment for the very first time. John was thinking “Will he like it? He’s only seen photos and he’s already paid me!” Jem was “over the moon” with his new apartment and thrilled by the finish and high specification, Jem was also delighted with the beautiful private garden, pool and BBQ areas.

All the owners have no difficulties in fully letting out their apartments and the happy visitors can’t wait to return.

From all the great feedback, John decided to develop a further, 16 luxury apartments, varying from 1 to 2 bedroom designs. All finished with local wood, stone and granite; including cupboards, wardrobes, lighting and white goods.

Serrote Breezes will be set in tropical gardens with a swimming pool, water feature and a large BBQ area. Each apartment has access to the roof terraces which will offer unbeatable views of the amazing sand dunes, beach and the “Serrote” hills.
