With the BBC forecasting possible gusts of 90mph, Saturday was always going to be a big one. Many braved the harsh conditions and found enjoyment in simply making it out and back, whilst others simply had to push the bar a notch higher.

In the picture we have the extremely talented UK wave sailor James Cox, caught on camera by Gordon Agg Jones of Spot On Water at Avon beach. James was one of the few sailors still landing back loops in the 100mph gusts!
