The pilot scheme will run from May 5 to July 6. The course is non-residential (although accommodation at UKSA can be arranged at cost to the participant). No meals are provided but there is a dining hall and coffee shop on-site. There will be a small cost to join the RYA and BCU National Governing Bodies.
Gary added: “If the pilot scheme is successful, we hope to offer the free Diploma course to up to 50 learners a year from September 2014, so watch this space. This is an exciting project which will open the doors of employment and professional vocational training to many more young people.”
