On the weekend of the 31st May hundreds of windsurfers headed to Aberdovey to be part of the Boardwise demo and UKWA slalom racing. One of the biggest events of the year, the racing was close and even more riders took to the water to try out the latest equipment from many of the top brands.

“We had a great weekend in Dovey for the annual Boardwise demo and BSA event. Unfortunately we did not have enough wind to do official pro and am racing, but we did get some fun master blaster rounds off which meant we managed to give away some great prizes.
“We had some great SUP weather but most of all we had an amazing amount of people out trying the inflatable Fanatic windsups (available in tourer and round nose versions). People were out planing around on them doing freestyle and some general fun cruising up and down the estuary. It is so good to see people out on the water no matter what the wind is these days rather than sitting on the beach waiting for it.
“Saturday night hosted another of the Boardwise parties in the Dovey yacht club and this lead to some sore heads on sunday, which were washed away with some more fun on the water in the sun.”
