This Saturday, 15th June, people across the country will be hitting the water in aid of Watersports 4 Cancer Research. If you would like to take part, but have yet to decide where, why not join Phil and Danielle of GetWindsurfing at Hayling Island?
To all of those who don’t know, Getwindsurfing are getting involved with the
Watersports for Cancer research Sunrise to Sunset challenge this coming Saturday. Its a great way to get many people who love watersports onto the water to raise some cash for Cancer research in a way they so much…doing watersports and being on the beach!
Danielle will be at Hayling Island on Saturday between sunrise (approx 04:15 and sunset approx 21:40) and will be trying to keep a Getwindsurfing board on the water all day. Many of our students are coming to join in for an hour to give Danielle a rest, or get their own kit out to tackle their own personal challenges such as 100 dry tacks in the day, or 4 hours on the water when normally beaten after 2 etc etc! We are encouraging people to set their own goals as you don’t have to be there from Sunrise to Sunset..its open to all whatever you want to do!
If you can come along and join in please do, if you want to help Danielle by doing half an hour or more on the water as part of her team so she can drink some water and some rest you are welcome, or bring your own kit/picnic and simply say hello!!
If you cannot join us, you can do this elsewhere as there are locations all around who are doing fun things to make this day a success. You can see the
Waterpsorts for Cancer research website where there is info about different locations.
If you would like to make a donation however large or small you can do so easily by following this
link to the Justgiving page Danielle has set up.
All encouragement is most appreciated, hope to see you all on the beach soon!
