Mid-way through day two here at PWA Pozo and whilst the Brits put in solid performances to advance through heats they were all stopped by incredible performances of the other riders.
Marcilio Browne put a stop to John Skye’s run, whilst despite a great performance from Proffitt is was team-mate Voget who advanced. Lewis managed to take it a step further but faced Denel who just snuck ahead of him and into the next round. Swift was sitting as top Brit and still keep this place, but was beaten in his only heat by an on form Jaeger Stone.
Whilst this might not have been the best competition for the British guys they’ve a lll landed some slick moves including doubles, push forwards and more… we will have a best of Brits clip coming up in the near future and more from behind the scenes with the guys too.
Now, as we get towards the business end of the double elimination it’s time to switch over to follow the latest on our sister-site Boardseeker.com

It is day two here at PWA Pozo and the action is already well underway. The wind is a little lighter today… still solid 3.7 weather for the guys though… and there’s some nice up to mast high swell running through, the perfect playground for the double elimination of the Gran Canaria Wind and Waves Festival.
Round one of the double is done and both Ben Proffitt and John Skye made it through their heats with some solid performances… Skye will now face Brawzinho and Proffitt will face Klaas Voget. We know both of them have the potential to make a serious dent in the double if they can pull out all they have – we’re expecting pushies, doubles and more on the jumping front!
