DATCHET’S NEW ‘STEP ON & SAIL SCHEME

Datchet Watersports are extremely proud to announce the commencement of their
NEW
‘Step on & Sail Scheme’ for Dinghy sailors and Windsurfers alike, at Queen
Mother Reservoir, 5 minutes from Heathrow.
Their revolutionary ‘Platinum Package’ offers Unlimited Hire and Unlimited Tuition
including wetsuits, harness & buoyancy aids for any level of ability from
only £42 per month and a small initial fee. If you’re just beginning or
stuck on a plateau they can teach you and guide you through the maze of different
types of boat and styles of sailing.
An extensive fleet of boats is available predominately from the Topper range
and starts with the single handers through to assymetrics and cats. Windsurfers
have the choice of brand new 2002 kit from the North / Mistral stable covering
all abilities. If you are thinking of buying a boat then this is the opportunity
to try a complete fleet!

Steve Roberts, Centre Manager says, "Our centre has distinct advantages
for the land-locked, sailors with little leisure time and no desire for hassle.
Rigging, storage, trailing, maintenance and depreciation on your own boat is
a thing of the past. Our boats are 15 feet from the water on an easy to launch
beach! We have a saying here – ‘Step on and Sail!’ No hassle sailing."

The raised bank (80 feet up!), 500 acre reservoir gives excellent clean wind
sailing with
reaches of over a mile and a quarter! You can park overlooking the water and
launching is easy from a gently shelving huge concrete slip. Facilities include
club with racing, bar, food, waterside parking and a RYA School with tuition
from Start Sailing through to Performance Sailing and Kites Courses.

Open Wednesday – Sunday at present and going 7 days in May the guys at Datchet
Watersports are expecting a big rush from the sailors that want top notch kit
but no grief factor and want life easy.
