3 Light Wind Moves That Will Improve Your Planing Windsurfing

Nose Sinks

What Is It? Fun and easy!

Why Do It? Develops counter balance for tacks (mid and exit), helicopter tacks and nose first landings.

Level? Anyone who’s learning to tack or sail a short board.

Quick Tips

Head upwind, edging forward on the board.

Sheet out and rake the rig back to counter balance the forward body position, which sinks the nose.

To exit (like the end of the tack) step right back and force the rig forward to counter balance.

Q. Why does the nose plough deeper?

A. Not far into wind and sheeting in too much.
