Men’s double board and score sheets from the final…
Men’s double elimination board….
Good morning from an insanely windy Pozo. The winds are stronger, the waves are already building, it is all round looking bigger and better than yesterday! Koester is sailing, Fernandez seem relaxed waiting on the beach and fixing his gear.
Yesterday, whilst Koester was obviously sailing it seemed like he wasn’t quite up to his usual standard. Tricky conditions with not many ramps made it tricky for the men and women to really pull out the big moves.
The Koester vs Fernandez final of the single looks like it will take place in some incredible conditions, the windiest we have seen it this week so far, definitely over 40knots! After the single the competition will head straight into the double, so expect come backs from a few that made an early exit.
On the British side of things Proffitt, Lewis and Hancock were all taken out in the first round and have something to prove as the double kicks off. Williams, Horrocks, Skye and Swift all made it through their rounds, putting in incredible performances in challenging conditions. Swift facing Browne and Horrocks facing Koester in the next heats was always going to be tricky, I am sure they are ready for the next battle and up their rankings.
