Work Hard, Play Harder – Brits Taking on The IFCA Europeans

Leigh Kingaby

Leigh Kingaby at work, harvesting some rain water.

Height: 6 foot

Weight: 80kg

Job: Landscape gardener/ driveways / patios / groundworks specialist. I have run the business for 15 years.

Sponsors: RRD and F-hot fins.

I haven’t entered any international events before, this is my first event.

I have entered the event to improve my slalom skills against the pros, and get the most out of what I love doing (windsurfing).

We are only allowed two boards and four sails, so I will take:

112 RRD X-fire with a F-Hot 36cm 39cm fins

122 RRD X-fire with a F-Hot 45cm 4.8cm fins

Firewing sails 7.0m 7.8m 8.6m and 9.4.

Leigh Kingaby, he’s got the point nailed.

My aim for this event is to qualify and try to win each race. This is my first year in the UKWA pros and i know I can do a lot better, so this is an opportunity to better myself and get ranked in Europe.

Plus, it’s a damn good excuse to have a good holiday with five mates :).
