13:30 The contest continues on day 2 of the 2005 Estoril Guincho PWA World Cup in gusty 5.3 conditions. Competition was resumed with heat # 6, which was cancelled due to lack of wind. Shortly after, the conditions improved again the sailors were back out again. In the following heats Frenchman Julien Taboulet (F-100, JP/ Neil Pryde) took out Marcilio Browne (BRA-105, Naish/ Naish), Greg Allaway (KA-38, Mistral/ North) put local sailor Fransisco Fonseca (P-72) to a stop, Orjan Jensen (E-19, North) sent Portuguese rider Rui Meira (P-111) back to the beach and Robby Swift (K-89, JP/ Neil Pryde) advanced at the cost of Yann Quilfen (F-21, North).

Competition is on hold for the moment as the wind has eased off slightly, but as forecast predict strong winds for the afternoon, competition will undoubtedly resume full force later today. So stay tuned to www.pwaworldtour.com for the latest news and images from Guincho, Portugal.

today promises more action as the wind is already blowing and the waves are up. With forecast indicating winds over 25 knots in the afternoon, the 2005 Estoril Guincho PWA World Cup carries on in full effect today. First up heat features Dutch wildman Peter Volwater (H-24, F2) against local man Andre Stock (P-25) and Ross Williams (GBR-83, Starboard/ Gaastra) taking on Colin Sifferlen (NC-4, Starboard).
