21ST ANNUAL HARBOUR DASH

Windsurfers are invited to join in the 21st Annual Harbour Dash.  This is Weymouth’s flagship windsurfing event – a simple 6Nm course from Overcombe corner at the Eastern end of Weymouth Bay over to Portland Harbour, in one entrance and out the other and then back to Overcombe.

The 1994 record of 18mins 35 secs, set by Ade Bugler, still stands!  2006 was a close call with Nick Deverell completing the course in just under 21 minutes.

This year’s Harbour Dash will be held on 26th August from Overcombe Corner, Weymouth, registration is from 10.00 and the start will be 11am – 11.30am depending on the conditions.

This event is open to all competent windsurfers. It is hoped to have rescue cover but as this an open sea event, basic essentials like spare rope, water and mobile phone are recommended.
