HAYLING ISLAND HAS A HART FOR LOOPING

Hayling Island Surf Club has been going from strength to strength since it was created in June of this year.  Membership is rapidly growing and the club house facilities are expanding on a week by week basis.  The club can now offer its members somewhere warm and dry to go with hot showers and changing facilities together with board storage right on the beach at Hayling, as well as an amount of free parking.  Other membership benefits include discounts from local retailers and dealers and discount off of the excellent food served at the Inn on the Beach.

The club also arranges race days, demo days with importers and distributors and teach-in sessions with pro riders.  Recently Peter Hart gave a presentation with a sneak preview of his latest soon to be released ‘Learn to Loop’ DVD, followed by a questions and answers session.  The evening was very well attended with some tips, tricks and stories being exchanged on anything windsurfing, including how to loop.  Future presentations to be given will include Jim Collis and Simon Bornhoft, with others from the sport yet to be confirmed.

If you would like further details of the club or would like to join, contact Stan Wheeler on 07730 704898.  You will also find members at the monthly car boot sale, held on every last Sunday of the month at the club site adjacent to the Inn on the Beach.  A club website is in production and will be going live very soon.  The site is expected to be crammed full of information, including live conditions from the beach, so watch this space for more details and developments.
