Puravida NoLimitz Cornwall Wave Classic – THE FORECAST IS ON!!! The final leg of the BWA is just around the corner and the forecast is looking incredible. Check out all the latest info direct from the BWA.
The final and biggest event of each year in the BWA calendar is hotting up with wind forecast from Friday and through the weekend. We are urging everyone to book online NOW as places are going fast and we will be capping numbers.
WHAT IS OCCURING?
The Cornwall Classic concludes the BWA UK Wave Titles for the whole year. After 3 fierce events in Wales, Ireland and Scotland the points are still close at the top of all fleets meaning there are bound to be some epic showdowns.
The pros….. were the only fleet not to get contestable conditions in Tiree meaning it goes down to the wire. With only 1 point separating Phil Horrocks (Gaastra/Tabou) and Ben Proffitt (Simmer/Simmer). But these boys are a long way from home in Cornwall and the local talent will no doubt be looking to spoil the party. We have also Been informed that Adam Lewis (Fanatic/North) is heading to the event trailing only 2.3 points behind Ben. Anything could happen here especially if any one of the Cornwall specialists turn up and turn on!
In the Ams…… Mike Archer leads the pack with a comfortable lead of 7.1 points but that could all be academic as Mike Wand-Tetley can use his discard to pull closer. Ben Page looked hot favourite for Cornwall but suffered a recent broken arm to render his hopes lost. Wand-Tetley simply needs to beat Archer by 0.8 points to take the crown.
In the Ladies….. PWA sailor, Justyna Sniady (Simmer/Simmer) has rocked the year with 2 wins and a third in Wales. Young gun Sarah Kellett trails by 2.6 points. Justyna will be looking to ensure clean wins to keep the youngster off her heels but despite her quiet demeanour, Kellett has her eyes on the Cornwall event and the UK title.
