Watersports Activities Manager
As Activities Manager your primary aim is to ensure that all activities are delivered in accordance with governing body guidelines, and as such ensure that all external inspections are a success. You will oversee the safe and successful running of the beach, bike and children’s programme. The Activities Manager plays a fundamental role in creating a welcoming and encouraging environment in which all guests feel at ease participating in activities. You will be a source of advice and information for instructors with regards to session planning, delivery and on water safety.
Watersports Activities Manager will manage all sailing operations, equipment and instructors at one of our beach centers in Greece. This will include organising safety cover, operations management, selling training courses, overseeing maintenance of dinghies and windsurfs, and ensuring client satisfaction and enjoyment.
Duties and Responsibilities: (this list is not exhaustive)
• Upsell in-resort extras: Junior Squad, Private Tuition, Powerboat Tuition, merchandise
• Arrange and contract staff accommodation
• Dealing with guest complaints
• Equipment sales
• Ensuring all equipment maintenance is completed
• Motivating all activities staff to deliver high standards and enjoy their work
• Complete weekly H&S audits.
• Responsible for ensuring that Apprentice Instructors are trained in accordance with governing body syllabus.
• Teaching a variety of sessions when required.
• Write Risk Assessments for all beach related activities and areas of operation.
• Carrying out monthly stock takes
• Overseeing the safe and successful running of the bike and children’s programmes.
Reporting to: Head of Greek Operations/Managing Director
Qualifications Necessary:
• Windsurf Instructor and/or Dinghy Instructor
• Senior Instructor
• Higher level windsurf and dinghy qualifications are not essential but are preferable
