The Waterstart in 12 Steps with Bubble

Top Tip – There‘s no power to lift me up!

It‘s not you who is pulling yourself up on board, it‘s your sail that has to do the work. If you pull down on the boom in order to lift yourself up as soon as you feel any lift, you will just pull the sail down and drown under it.

Instead be patient, wait for a little gust and keep the front arm straight until your sail is completely upright (see pictures 9-11 in the sequence). When you get the lift, pull the board closer with your back leg, this will allow you to get the lift even if the wind is a bit lighter.
