3. Weigh your bags:

It doesn’t matter whether you’re the 1995, south-west regional, junior bartering champion, when it comes to airline rules there is no moving them so get the scales out and weigh your kit! If you are lucky enough to be spoilt for choice and have too much kit try to balance your bags out so they’re all similar weights to avoid surprises.

(Or; the risky strategy is to pack one bag lighter and pray that they only want to weigh one! But that’s in your hands – there are no guarantees.)
