How To Wavesail Like Jaeger Stone – 8 Tips From The Man Himself

Getting Vertical

To set up for a vertical top turn it’s all about your bottom turn. When going in to your bottom turn, you want to take a deeper line at the bottom of the wave face rather than a shallow bottom turn half way down the wave. Pushing hard with your back foot will allow you to come out of your bottom turn a lot sharper and with a lot of drive to steer the nose of your board up and in to the lip. Opening up your clew as you come up the wave face is just as important to approach the lip more vertically.
