Are you going?

I’m going to Wales – Rhosneigr is lovely, something for everyone and easy enough to get to. Not to mention the Saturday night party …

What fleet are you competing in?

Ladies, though Old Ladies would be more appropriate I reckon.

What equipment are you taking?

I’ll be trying out the Exocet / XO range (thanks Krafty!) and my walking stick.

What conditions are you hoping for?

So sunny I need shades and not so windy I need a 2.9. I enjoy both tacks and don’t really have a preference (apart from Starboard) so that’s good isn’t it!

How have you been preparing/training for the events?

I was on Fuertaventura in January so that was all good for the training … naturally the corrugated iron chop of the Thames Estuary where I live is the best training ground for anybody…

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

My strengths – I always turn up, to every event (well last year at least and I think the year before too!) My weaknesses … need to have more belief in myself out there!

Who’s your biggest rival? I think maltesers must be my biggest revel, though the coffee ones can come up quite big.

What position finish are you aiming for?

I don’t mind – I’m here to have fun! I am the “Essex Hopeful”
